The November meeting was attended by 8 Councillors, with Mr. Smith in the chair.
Two parishioners were also in attendance, and the Chairman took item 4 (a) Land to the north of the Lye Field, first.
There was some concern that recent work undertaken on this land, i.e. moving a telegraph pole, making a new entrance and electric cables being buried underground, could presage an application for building development on the site. Kennet District Council had received no application so far. There was also concern about the water pressure and supply to various parts of the village, and it was doubtful that the current water main would cope with additional housing.
Planning permission had been approved for the following:
K/5290/F Mr A G Drewett, Field at Curnicks Lane, Off Broad, Lane, Seend - Erection of barn
K/53045/LBC S. Barnett, View Rosa, High Street, Seend - Remove internal
ceiling in kitchen put in two skylights
in roof
K/53169/F Mr & Mrs Coley, 25 Dial Close, Seend - Erection of a porch
The following applications were considered, and no objections raised:
K/53145/F S R Johnstone, Bath Road Garage, Sells Green, Seend
Use of site for manufacture of marble & Granite worktops and fire hearths
and surrounds and retail of garden paving and flagstones
The PC had previously requested further information from Kennet DC,
specifically with regard to noise pollution, and this had now been received.
Following discussion, a vote was taken with six Councilors in favour, and one
abstention.
K/53211/F Mr & Mrs Borwell, Knap Cottage, Seend - Rear extension and
balcony
K/53275/TR2 Ms S Barlow, 1-2 Weavers Cottages, Seend - The felling of a
