The meeting held on 29th July was attended by 8 Councillors, with Mr. Clifford Smith in the chair. Two members of the public were also in attendance.
A letter has been sent to Wiltshire County Council, to request traffic calming measures on the A361 between the bottom of Caen Hill and Seend Fork, to mitigate the effects of speed and reduce the number of serious accidents in this area.
The PC intends to replace the notice boards in Seend Cleeve, by Rew Farm, and outside the Post Office.

It was felt that the stable block was too high, and should be kept as a single storey building.
A letter has been received from Wiltshire CC re. the A361 – Littleton Roundabout to Seend Fork, to advise that survey work should commence before Christmas along this route, which has been identified as one of three priority routes to be assessed with a view to developing appropriate freight management measures.
A letter has been received from Wiltshire CC, to advise that they have made an Order to modify the Definitive Map and Statement to show a restricted byway from the A361, Keevil to u/c 6076 at Seend Head Mill.
A letter has been received from Kennet DC, to advise that they are objecting to the removal of the telephone box at The Lye, Seend, as it is adjacent to social housing, and there is restricted alternative access.
The last parish skip at Wessex Water site was filled to overflowing. Please try to take as much as possible to local Recycling Centres, to reduce the amount of rubbish going to landfill.
The PC still has allotment plots available opposite The Bell. If anyone is interested in having one rent-free for two years, please contact the Parish Clerk.
