The meeting held on 29th January was attended by 8 Councillors, with Mrs. Savage in the chair. Also in attendance was Mrs. P. Rugg, County Councillor, plus three members of the public.
The question of funding for the Seend Shuttle was discussed again. Mrs. Rugg advised that there were problems about funding for transport for the over 60s as far as Kennet are concerned, but that they are funding projects in villages. All aspects of transport are being looked at, including transport for people going to hospital. Mrs. Rugg also advised that community projects are benefiting from funding, and she suggested that the relevant village committees, such as the school, the Lye Field and the Social Club should consider requesting funding from Kennet DC.
