SEEND PARISH COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES - January 2004:

The January Meeting was attended by 8 Councillors under the chairmanship of Mr. Chris. Smith.

The Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 18th May at the Irene Usher Pavilion, Rusty Lane, Seend.

The Parish Council considered the following applications and no objections raised : Construction of tennis court and perimeter fencing at Moiety, Spout Lane, Seend

Tree Preservation Order Tree Work: to lift smaller limbs of lower crowns to 4 Limes. Reduce larger limbs of lower crowns by 25-33%. Lightly crown clean throughout at Linden House, Spout Lane, Seend.
Internal alterations to form separate bedsit area at Knightsmead Farm, Inmarsh Road, Seend.
Internal alterations to first floor to create bedsit area at Knightsmead Farm,
Inmarsh Road, Seend.
Dormer window in existing roof at 4 Dial Close, Seend.
The Parish Council would be requesting a sign for The Stocks to be placed on the A361.

The next waste skips will be placed at the following locations and dates:
27th February – Three Magpies, Sells Green: 26th March – Seend Social Club: 30th April – Wessex Water Site.

It was noted that a fridge had been placed in one of the village skips. Would parishioners please remember that village skips are not to be used for household goods such as old fridges, cookers, furniture, etc. Kennet District Council will remove these sorts of items for you for a small charge of £11 for up to 4 items. You can arrange this by telephoning KDC on 01380 724911. Alternatively they can be disposed of free of charge at the Recycling Centres at either Bowerhill or Compton Bassett, near Calne.
