The February Meeting was attended by 10 Councillors, with the Chairman Mr. Smith, in the Chair.
WPC Ann Deuchars attended the meeting. She reported that there had been several incidents recently including thefts from G & S Patios in Station Road, theft of a trailer from Spout Lane, and a walk-in theft from the High Street. She asked that if parishioners thought they saw anything, or anybody, suspicious, they should telephone 01380 722141 and speak to her, or leave a message.
Matters arising included confirmation that a way mark has been placed at the footpath in Row Lane across to Seend Cleeve, Wiltshire Highways Partnership have agreed to place a hard standing at the bus stop in Bath Road, and confirm that the trenches on the edges of the A365 will be refilled, also that an investigation will be carried out of the existing drainage system and repair as necessary in Spout Lane, confirmation from the Footpaths Officer that Love Walk has now been cut.
Wiltshire Constabulary have arranged a meeting of all interested parties relating to the car boot sales held at Craysmarsh Farm, Redstocks, prior to the start of the Boot Sales season, and two members of the Parish Council agreed to attend on behalf of the Council.
The Parish Council considered the following planning application, and no objections
raised :
K/51668/F. Wiltshire County Council. New silage clamp at Knightsmead Farm, Inmarsh,
to replace existing one.
There have been complaints about dogs fouling the pavements in The Lye. Would dog walkers please remember to pick up after their dogs. In a nearby village recently, somebody has been prosecuted and fined for this offence – please don’t let it happen in Seend.
The next waste skips will be placed at the following locations and dates:
